- Wait for the LED to turn green, indicating the card is fully charged
- Press the button once ā if there is no beep, continue charging and retry
Q: Why is the location not updating in real-time?
Crowdsourced tracking networks are not real-time GPS. The Ridge Tracker Card relies on Bluetooth signals, nearby compatible devices participating in the tracking network, and periodic crowd-sourced location updates. To help reconnect:
- Walk around with your phone to help Bluetooth reconnect
- Refresh your tracking app
- Use your tracking app to make the Ridge Tracker Card play a sound
- Verify Bluetooth and Location Services are enabled in your device settings
Q: Why does my tracking app show an old location even though I'm nearby?
Common causes include Bluetooth not yet reconnecting, the Ridge Tracker Card being asleep or inactive, nearby obstructions or interference, or the tracking app not having refreshed. Try the same steps listed above.
Q: My tracking app is showing "No Location Found." What does that mean?
This usually happens when the Ridge Tracker Card is out of Bluetooth range (over 300 feet), no nearby device has detected it recently through the tracking network, or the Ridge Tracker Card is powered off, has a dead battery, or is physically blocked.
Q: The card is showing as offline. What should I do?
- Confirm Bluetooth and an active internet connection on your paired device
- Confirm location sharing is enabled in your device settings
- Allow a few minutes for the network to refresh the card's last known location
Q: Why can't I make the Ridge Tracker Card play a sound from the app?
This happens when the Ridge Tracker Card is out of Bluetooth range (over 300 feet away), is offline, powered off, or has a dead battery, or when Bluetooth or Location Services are turned off on your phone.
Sharing & Privacy
Q: Can I pair the Ridge Tracker Card with more than one account?
No, each Ridge Tracker Card can only be linked to one account at a time. This is a security feature of the tracking network. To transfer ownership, you must first remove it from your current account, then the new user can add it to theirs.
Q: Can I share the Ridge Tracker Card with other people?
Yes, you can share tracking access with other people through your tracking app's sharing feature. While the Ridge Tracker Card can only be linked to one account (the owner), you can share location tracking with up to five trusted contacts. This allows other people to see the tracker's location and receive notifications, even though they cannot modify settings or remove the device from your account.
Q: Can someone else track me with my Ridge Tracker Card?
It's extremely unlikely. Compatible tracking networks include built-in anti-stalking protections that detect, alert, and help prevent unauthorized tracking. Your smartphone will notify you if an unknown tracker appears to be traveling with you.
Q: What should I do if I find an unknown tracker I don't recognize?
If you receive an unknown tracker alert on your smartphone, follow the on-screen instructions to locate and identify the tracker. You can ring the tracker to help find it and disable it by following the manufacturer's disablement instructions. If you feel unsafe, go to a public location and contact local law enforcement.
Q: If someone finds my Ridge Tracker Card, can they reset it?
No, they cannot reset or use it. The Ridge Tracker Card remains locked to your account until you remove it yourself. Only you can transfer ownership to someone else.
Technical Questions

Q: Does the Ridge Tracker Card have Precision Finding?
No, the Ridge Tracker Card provides basic location tracking with proximity alerts and sound only. It does not offer Precision Finding features such as on-screen directional arrows or exact distance measurements.
Q: Can I use the Ridge Tracker Card internationally?
Yes, the Ridge Tracker Card works anywhere in the world where compatible devices are present. Your Ridge Tracker Card can update its location even when you're traveling overseas.
Q: How will I know when the Ridge Tracker Card battery is low?
Your tracking app will notify you when the Ridge Tracker Card's battery is running low and needs to be recharged. You'll have time to charge it wirelessly before it completely dies.
